Barry R. Portnoy, DMD

Dr. Barry Portnoy graduated from U Mass/Boston's first graduating class in 1969 with a BA in Chemistry.  He worked for Dr James C Melby, the head of the the Department of Endocrinology Boston University Medical Center as a research assistant from 1969 - 1972. He graduated from the first 3 year dental program at Tufts Dental School in 1975. After completing a General Practice Residency Program at Peninsula General Hospital in Far Rockaway, NY , he opened his dental practice in Westborough in December of 1976.

 
Dr Portnoy's teaching affiliations include:
 
Worcester  Memorial  Hospital Dental Residency Program from 1977 - 1988.

 

Worcester Technical Institute Instructor in the Dental Assisting Program from 1990 – 1993.

 

University of Massachusetts  Medical School General Practice Residency in Dentistry Program
       from 2005- 2011.
 
Department of Family Medicine and Community Health in the School of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts, Worcester AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry)
